We are delighted to welcome you to to our website. No matter what your age or circumstance, if you wish to work formally towards a qualification or simply explore an area of interest, we are excited that you’ve chosen to begin your journey here. For all those who live and work here, and particularly for our younger generation, we are exploring ways to bridge the gap between school and the worlds of work and higher education by offering greater chances to study locally.

Looking through our website, you will see what a wide range of opportunities are now on offer through our existing Learning Centre Network in Skye and Lochalsh and our developing partnerships with the Macphail Centre in Ullapool and in the Gairloch & Poolewe area. The list is constantly growing and, although everything may not yet be available in every location, we are working towards providing you with the learning you want on your doorstep.

Courses are available at many different levels and can be studied in a way that suits your individual life-style, either through tutored sessions or via a combination of self-learning, on-line or distance-learning. Our learning centres in Skye and Lochalsh have a friendly and dedicated team ready to support and encourage you in learning. We offer a wide range of courses from basic computing courses to degree level study, with traditional adult education classes such as language or art.  We are here to help you find the right course, at the right level and then help you take the next step forward. Over the last five years we have made it easy for over 2400 individuals to develop their interests, skills, careers and to gain qualifications.
