Skye & Wester Ross College

Skye & Wester Ross College has recently changed its name from Skye & Lochalsh Learning Centre Network (SLLCN).  We are a company limited by guarantee (SC228980) with charitable status (SC033069).  We work in partnership with Highland Council, learndirect SCOTLAND, HIE Skye and Wester Ross, Careers Scotland, Job Centre Plus, the UHI Millennium Institute and crucially with local agencies, businesses and communities. The partnership has been working to develop an infrastructure that will allow continued access to learning and the development of a wider range of locally available opportunities.

Aims:

• To raise awareness of learning and skills development
• To promote the benefits of and need for learning
• To stimulate demand for learning
• To develop appropriate pathways for learning to meet this need and demand
• To continually develop the skills and learning infrastructure in Skye and Lochalsh to support and enable people, businesses and communities in this area to achieve and exceed their own expectations
