Painting ProjectCourse Description
This short course will offer students the opportunity to gather and produce effective source imagery and learn how to go about developing ideas and techniques for production of finished paintings.
Students will use a variety of media and techniques and will work on at least two different possible themes. The three key areas of research, development and solution will be explored in-depth to provide students with the confidence and skill for future personal work. Entry requirements
Some experience of Art and Design, Standard Grade level or equivalent is desirable. Applicants should present samples of recent work where available. Call your local college learning centre to book a place.Qualifications
On successful completion of the course students will achieve two SQA National Units at level 5 : Sketchbook Development (Thematic Studies), and Art & Design; Project.Attendance
We recommend you attend each of the tutored sessions to achieve success in this course, there may also be work to complete between the tutored sessions.Start Date

£140 - The cost includes most materials and equipment, all notes and tutor time, and certification on successful completion of the course.
Students are asked to supply some basic art materials for their own use (approximate cost would be £30). A list is available on enquiry from the Learning Centre. Suitable clothing for any outdoor activities will be required.Funding
