Course Description

Develop an understanding of accounting principles for small business owners or anyone wishing to pursue a career in book-keeping. Looks in detail at the book-keeping process and requirements of a range of different businesses.

This is a key resource for anyone wishing to take up book-keeping as a career and for those who are currently book-keeping and wish to expand their knowledge. 

Topics covered include: book-keeping for sole traders; book-keeping for companies; book-keeping for partnerships and interpretation of accounts. 

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, although it would be beneficial to have completed Book-keeping Essentials.

Qualifications

Perth College Certificate.

Attendance

This course is a distance learning course with tutor support.  It is expected that this course is the equivalent to 40 hours of learning and will take up to a maximum of 6 months to complete.

Self study at your local SWRC learning centre is supported and encouraged.
