Course Description

Develop practical book-keeping skills and good practice for large and small organisations. This course will introduce the key principles of book-keeping for either computer- or paper-based systems.

This is a key resource for anyone wishing to take up book-keeping as a career.

Topics covered include: book-keeping for sole traders; book-keeping for companies; book-keeping for partnerships; interpretation of accounts; debits and credits; double-entry book-keeping; profit and loss and the balance sheet.

Attendance

This course is a distance learning course with tutor support.  It is expected that this course is the equivalent to 40 hours of learning and will take up to a maximum of 6 months to complete.

Self study at your local SLLCN learning centre is supported and encouraged.
