Course Description

Do you sometimes avoid the activities that use numbers? Do you realise how often you do use numeracy without thinking about it? Want to know how computers can help you plan, calculate and present information using numbers?

This course is a great way to brush up your practical number skills and start using digital computer software and other digital tools when working with numbers.

During this short course, with tutored sessions and mentor support, you will have lots of practical activities and use of the computer for everyday number-based actions.

  • You will discover how to calculate costs and budget funds using computer software
  • You will learn how to create diagrams and charts on your PC to show information
  • You will be introduced to using basic number calculations using software to make things easier
  • You will find out about some of the numbers at the heart of computing – binary.
