Programme Description
New Deal is a Jobcentre Plus, nationwide scheme to help you get back into employment. While participating in the programme, you can expect to have
- an induction period
- a quality work experience
- a Learning and Development plan to identify how your employability will be improved
- training, if applicable
- job search support and supervision
- recognition of your achievements
What does the programme cover?
New Deal will help you find and keep a job or start to work for yourself by:
- improving the skills you already have
- learning new skills
- a Jobcentre Plus Personal Adviser
- individuall tailored job searches

Entry Requirements
You need to be looking for work and be registered with the Jobcentre Plus.
Qualifications
On successful completion you will be awarded with a College Certificate.
How much time will it take?
This programme will take half a day a week for up to 13 weeks depending on your circumstances. If you find a suitable job or get an offer of training or a college place, then you can leave before the 13 weeks are complete.

Cost
This programme is FREE of charge to anyone registered with the Jobcentre Plus. You can continue to receive benefits whilst on this course.
