Printmaking

Course Description

This practical and enjoyable course will enable you to develop your knowledge and understanding of a range of printmaking skills. You will have the opportunity to experiment with and explore basic printmaking techniques and processes such as monoprinting, lino-cuts, and collographs. You will produce a folio which will include a series of experimental, exploratory prints using three different printmaking techniques.

Entry requirements

Entry is at the discretion of the tutor - and all students would benefit from previous experience of an art or design course. Students will require an A3 sketchbook, HB pencil and soft eraser and provide an additonal fee of £15 towards the cost of materials.

Qualifications

On successful completion of the course you will receive an SQA Certificate.

Attendance

We recommend you attend each of the sessions to achieve success in this course.

Course Duration

The course will be 3 hours a week for 10 weeks.

Progression

After this course, you could progress to other art courses - or to our full time Creative Art and Design Course.

Cost

£80  This includes learning materials and print making equipment, tutored sessions and an SQA certification on successful completion.  An additional cost of £15 will be payable direct to SWRC for course materials.
