Living Food - Highland Organic Food Event
Cawdor Castle

A celebration of organic produce held in marquees in the beautiful grounds of Cawdor Castle.

The course plans to raise the understanding of food safety and hygiene.  It will also provide candidates with an understanding of a wide range of key food safety issues, including the 3 main types of food safety hazards, their sources and methods of control.  Candidates will also learn about the correct temperatures needed for storage and food handling activites, from delivery right through to sale.  They will also be aware of common food pests and how to control them, along with the principles of cleaning and disinfection.
